Contractor Numbers is built to give service contractors useful business answers without asking for more information than the product needs.
What we collect
You can use the core calculators without creating an account. Depending on what you choose to use or save, Contractor Numbers may process:
- Business inputs you enter into calculators, such as revenue, wages, labor rates, call volume, average ticket, ZIP code, trade, and operating assumptions.
- Contact information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address.
- Basic usage and attribution information, such as which tool was opened, whether a calculation was completed, referral/UTM information, and product feedback.
- If you set up a supported call-tracking data feed, call-performance metadata needed for business insights, such as call counts, answered/missed status, first-time caller percentages, LSA-related counts, and call duration.
Information saved on your device
Contractor Numbers uses browser storage to remember your Living Business Profile, calculator context, location/trade settings, and related preferences so you do not have to re-enter the same numbers every time.
Information saved when you choose to save
When you save an analysis, contact information and the business/profile data associated with that saved result may be sent to Contractor Numbers' hosted backend so the analysis can be retained, reused, and delivered to you. Product events and feedback may also be stored to help improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to operate the calculators, remember your business numbers, improve future answers, provide saved results, understand which tools are useful, troubleshoot the service, prevent abuse, and develop products or services that address problems contractors identify.
If you separately opt in to occasional follow-up messages, we may send product or educational follow-ups tied to Contractor Numbers. You can unsubscribe from those messages.
Contractor Numbers does not sell personal information.
Service providers and data sources
Contractor Numbers uses service providers to host and operate the product. Current infrastructure includes Vercel for website delivery and Supabase for backend data and functions. Optional data integrations, such as the current CallRail setup, only apply when you choose to configure them.
Some calculator starting assumptions use public data or third-party reference data. Those sources are described on the Methodology & Sources page.
Your choices
You can leave optional fields blank, edit or remove browser-stored values, decline marketing follow-ups, and use calculator estimates without creating a saved account. To request access, correction, or deletion of information saved on the Contractor Numbers backend, use the Contact & Support page and select the privacy/data request option.
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably useful for providing the product, maintaining records, preventing abuse, or meeting legal obligations. Browser-stored information remains on your device until you clear it or the product removes it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Contractor Numbers is a business product and is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are made.
